Varndean Park was built in the early 1970s on the site of three houses - Fircroft, Effingham Lodge and Laine House, Preston, the coachhouse of which is still standing. The estate
as a whole was designed by Messrs Morgan Carn & Partners of Hove and consists of
47 houses and 117 apartments housed in three elegant buildings
A heated outdoor swimming pool with a heated shower, changing rooms and toilets is a much appreciated facility and a beautiful ornamental pond, stocked
with koi carp and featuring a cascade illuminated at night is a delightful feature.
